Foot Shox Insoles Relieve Heel Pain
If you wince whenever you put pressure
on your heels, you’re well aware that heel pain is
a serious problem that’s impossible to ignore.
There
are two different types of heel pain and numerous heel pain
causes.
The first type, often referred to
by doctors as “heel pain syndrome,” is caused by repetitive
stress on the heel resulting in soreness from too much impact
on the back of the foot. Thinning heel pads, a sudden increase
in activity or even wearing improperly fitting shoes are causes
of heel pain syndrome.
The second type, referred to by podiatrists as “plantar fasciitis”
or “heel spurs,” is one of the most common heel pain causes.
The plantar fascia is a broad band of fibrous tissue, which
runs along the bottom surface of the foot from the heel to
the toes. Plantar fasciitis is a condition in which the plantar
fascia gets over-stretched, fraying like a rope or even tearing,
causing inflammation. In turn, the inflammation causes heel
pain. The inflammation associated with plantar fasciitis also
can cause heel spurs, a calcium deposit on the heel bone,
resulting in pain when you apply pressure to your feet.
Plantar fasciitis and heel spurs
often occur in people with flat feet, people who are overweight,
pregnant women and people suffering
from osteoarthritis and rheumatoid
arthritis.
Heel pain caused by plantar fasciitis or heel spurs is usually
worse after you have been resting, when you get out of bed
first thing in the morning or after long periods of sitting.
This type of heel pain usually subsides gradually as the
day progresses.
Other heel pain
causes include high arches that pull on the muscles and tight
calves muscles due to inadequate stretching.
Excruciating pain linked to thinning heels pads, plantar
fasciitis and heel spurs is a major reason people visit foot
specialists. Podiatrists often prescribe custom-made rigid
orthotics to treat heel pain. However, a recent medical study
found that off-the-shelf shock-absorbing insoles, plus
stretching exercises, could do a better job of relieving heel
pain than rigid orthotics costing hundreds of dollars.
Foot
Shox insoles relieve heel pain better than any other shock-absorbing
insole. That’s because Foot Shox are made entirely of Poron®,
the #1 shock absorbing material in the world. An independent
lab rated Poron #1 for absorbing painful impact forces — superior
to latex foam, gel, sponge rubber, neoprene, vinyl sponge
or viscoelastic
Just ask Diane Fragos. “My foot doctor told me I had heel
spurs on both feet. I couldn’t walk without a lot of pain. I
tried different foot pads, but they didn’t work,” said the
Auburndale, Fla. retiree. “As soon as I started wearing Foot
Shox insoles, my heel pain went away and it hasn’t come back.”
The more shock
absorption in your insoles, the less pain in your heels.
